War on "Terrorism"

There has never been a more efficient, effective, crueler terrorist than the U.S. When it ran out of military targets in Germany and Japan, it incinerated unarmed, helpless civilians and their homes, towns, factories, and villages!

Union Membership

Excerpted from WSJ ltr, 8/7/5: "It is no wonder private-sector membership is falling. Unions exist for one reason: to do as little as possible for as much as possible. The competitive damage is insurmountable. Eventually the unions strangle their host to death and everyone loses. Look no further than the big air carriers, which are on the brink of collapse, or the Big Three auto makers, which are only a decade or two away from failure. It is the opposite in the union-free private sector that survives and prospers under the golden rule: produce more with less."

Roman Religion

One of the greatest writers of history in the English language was Edward Gibbon, author of the epic "Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire". His comment on religion is succinct and pithy: "The various modes of worship, which prevailed in the Roman world, were all considered by the people, as equally true; by the philosopher, as equally false; and by the magistrates, as equally useful."

Feminist Oversight

I have never heard feminists rejoice in or even remark on this time honored custom of royalty: When a king marries a woman, she becomes a queen. When a queen marries a man, he becomes first a stud and then a silent manikin!
