Union Membership
Excerpted from WSJ ltr, 8/7/5: "It is no wonder private-sector membership is falling. Unions exist for one reason: to do as little as possible for as much as possible. The competitive damage is insurmountable. Eventually the unions strangle their host to death and everyone loses. Look no further than the big air carriers, which are on the brink of collapse, or the Big Three auto makers, which are only a decade or two away from failure. It is the opposite in the union-free private sector that survives and prospers under the golden rule: produce more with less."

Yea ask all the sweat shop workers in Meixico, El Salvador, Honduras, China, ect. what they think about Unions..how about every Wal Mart worker...
Can a union be abusive? absolutely? Do big business want to get rid of Unions? sure, and they couldn't be happier than they are today...
